Mainly patch and inflate. Just asking about the market rate - if any so that future can reference. Oh and I'm driving a Toyota CH-R. Ttodayisgood

Simple type of patching with the gum thing they stick inside. $85 dollars likely is because it includes transportation cost (akin to towing) + manpower cost + overheads. The vehicle and equipment is not free. you can buy kits online so that you can quickly pump own air , simple fix such that you can get yourself to a shop to repair. They have cement plaster , glue, repair kits , pressuried gel in a bottle, liquid to pump into tyre, etc. i have repaired my own tyre before where it is easily accessible. Follow what they do, take out the nail / object, puncture it with a sharp tool then insert the gum with the special device. it is actually not difficult. almost same as changing a tyre but alot easier because don't have to jack the car if it is somewhere accessible. Patching is standard lah.. side wall puncture case, need to change new tire. RFT, more expensive when do patching. M

Joined Jan 9, 2014 Messages 2,483 Reaction score 69 Thank you all for the inputs. My tyre was totally flat and no spare tyre (nowadays cars usually no more spare tyre). 2 options to either tow it to a workshop or to seek onsite repair. To reduce the hassle, just pay more for onsite lo. Seem very simple the repair took less than 10mins. The guy pumped up the tyre first. Find the screw, remove the tyre. Took out the screw, insert a rubber like strip with a tool. Pull out the tool, spray soup water to see if any leakage, gao dim already. With the tool and the accessary I think I can do it myself next time. Just treat as paying also to learn how to do LOL!! Have also sent to workshop before previously and the way they patch is much more detail in taking out the whole rubber tyre. Tag and "burnt" the patch onto the tyre. that cost me $8.5 (at least 5 years back). Thank you again for all the inputs. Appreciate it.Lolicious

Other than worm method, could cost more than usual.
