Rename a file in an online app

1. Select the file name at the top of the page.

2. Enter a new name.

   Changes are saved automatically in the Office Online apps.

Save a copy with a different name in a desktop app

1. Select File > Save As.

2. Select where you want to save the file.

3. Enter a new file name.

4. Select Save.

Rename a file in File Explorer or OneDrive

1. Open File Explorer or OneDrive.

2. Right-click the file and select Rename.

3. Enter a new file name and press Enter.
