Wait Wait Wait What Did Orion Do?? - Jarett Howarth Is My Son

Well in Critical Role he was generally disrespectful as time went on, metagamed a whole lot and even lied about dice rolls (in some eps you can see him turning the dice over after he rolls and it got so bad, other people at his table would double check his rolls). He also frequently got gets frustrated at Matt when he doesn’t get his way or when Tiberius (his pc) is “nerfed” in any way (ex: Tibs once got feeble minded by an enemy and Orion did NOT like that and Orion once admitted that he got angry at Matt during c1e11 because he thought Matt was trying to force a TPK instead of challenging them as Matt intended).

It all came to a head when a fan tweeted out a shirt design they had made on redbubble or the like (i think??? it’s been a while) that had to do with Tibs, to which Orion was outraged bc Tibs was “his intellectual property” and that the fan was “uncrittered”. (Laura and Travis promptly tried to clean up the situation and tried to tell them that they were absolutely fine) Orion was then gone for an episode before it was announced in the next that Orion was not coming back, though they didn’t mention directly what the issue was or what had happened on twitter.

Orion went on to do stuff with Tibs on his own but I never really checked into it bc I didn’t like how Orion played. People asked if Orion would ever return and Matt never explictly said no but later in the campaign, Tibs was killed off which made it very very clear that he wasn’t coming back. Matt even mentioned he talked to Orion about it before he made the decision.

A year or so later Orion explained his and apologized for his behavior on a stream, basically telling us that he was having a LOT of very serious health problems, one of which was cancer, and that he wanted to talk to his best friend (Marisha) again and that he hoped he could be forgiven. At the time I felt super bad and forgave him, but then all the bad shit hit the fan.

When I looked up stuff to make sure I had the right info, I saw that there was a lot more than I remembered so instead of going on and on I’ll link some good posts here.

So TDLR: Orion has manipulated, lied, basically stole, and abused people and he is not worth any Critter’s time at all.
