For the past few months, I get dizzy when I turn my head quickly or bend over. What could cause this?The condition is caused by a problem in one of the body's two internal "gyroscopes." Each gyroscope (there is one in each ear) is actually a complex set of canals filled with fluid. In parts of the canal system, cells with hairlike structures coat the inside lining. Floating near the ends of these "hairs" are tiny stones called otoliths.
