What is a good way to kill endermen quickly?

Endermen annoy me so much, it's so tedious to kill one because I hit it with my sword and he just starts teleporting around, then I look at it, it gets closer, when I come close to hit it again, it teleports again and so on and so forth... it takes me ages to kill one. Is there any way to make the endermen just engage you and stop teleporting around so you can kill them faster? Rollback Post to Revision RollBack

1. Make sure you have a fence between you and the Enderman. 2. Get him angry. 3. He should get stuck behind the gate, and if all goes well, should not teleport even when you attack it. It'll just keep trying to walk forward. 4. Don't use a bow. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack

For a fast on the fly way to kill them you need a sword. first things first do not make him angry by looking at him, go for the legs! Once you hit him keep on swinging until that sucker is dead. I never have the problem of them teleporting around if I never make eye contact even during combat. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack

1) Hit their feet so they won't teleport 2) Get a very strong sword to make it go faster 3) If you are constantly being killed by them, make iron or diamond armor. It helps. 4) If you are planning to ambush one, make a 3x3 platform 3 blocks off the ground so you can go under it but the enderman can't. When possible, I try to aim it precisely so I can hit them in the feet while jumping, but I have yet to find a truly fast way to kill just any random Enderman you find while out wandering. Other people say hitting them in the feet always works, for me it only works about 75% of the time. Build an ender farm? Short of that make a 3x3 platform with a 2 block gap under it so you have a safe place to stand while killing them. Pillaring up 4 blocks also works but is more dangerous if you fall. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack

It doesn't matter as long as you have a sword and you don't look at their head. Hit them in the legs and if you are lucky, you'll earn the ender eye. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack

The leg-shot trick is the best. I have started new worlds where there are tons of Endermen spawning before I can even get settled. Easily took out 3 of them with a stone sword and no armor in hard difficulty. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack Talven81 MC Server Admin for NES

Hit them with your sword in their feet. They get knocked back when you hit them, so you can hit them again. Looking at their feet doesn't make them teleport, so you can just hit them over and over until they die. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack

Just use a diamond sword and iron armor, and hit the enderman's leg. It won't teleport if you hit it on its leg. Also, carry a water bucket in case you're about to die. It'll teleport away and become neutral as soon as it touches water. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack STOP! Pajama time.

Yeah hitting their legs seem to be much more reliable, maybe now I will be able to get enough pearls. How do you make an ender farm anyways? Rollback Post to Revision RollBack
