Horizon Forbidden West PC release time & date

Horizon Forbidden West will launch for PC on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at midnight (00:00 AM) in your respective region, and players will be able to get it from the Epic Games store or Steam.

This does mean, however, that some areas will have access earlier than others, so if you somehow managed to stay spoiler-free until now, we advise taking a break from social media that day.

Can you preload Horizon Forbidden West?

In short, no, you cannot preload Horizon Forbidden West for PC yet. However, as usual with games available for Microsoft Windows, a preload could become active between 24 and 48 hours before the official release date.

We advise that if you intend to play Aloy’s new adventure on PC as soon as it comes out, you pay attention to the game’s announcements and updates, so you will know if a preload becomes available.

The Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PC is a whopping 150 GB, so if a preload becomes available, take advantage of it and download the game right away. Otherwise, it will take a long time to download and you’ll have to wait to play.
