When Is The Target Car Seat Trade-In Event? (Updated For 2023)

If you are needing to upgrade your child’s car seat, you might be wondering When The Next Target Car Seat Trade-In Event is and don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Now, if you don’t qualify, Car Seat Trade-In Events are a great time to upgrade your child’s car seat.

Why? Because you get a discount on a new one!

When Is The Target Car Seat Trade-In Event 2023?

The Target Car Seat Trade-In Event is happening April 16-29, 2023.

From April 16-29, 2023, guests will have the opportunity to recycle an old, expired or damaged car seat and redeem a coupon on their Target app or Target.com/circle for 20% off one car seat, stroller or select baby gear. The coupon can be redeemed through May 13, 2023.

Here is how it works:

Bring in your old car seat and drop it into the marked bin (usually at the front of the store).

Scan the QR code on the side of the box and you’ll receive a 20% off coupon that is good on a new car seat, stroller or other select baby gear!

What type of car seats does Target accept?

During a trade-in event Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged. Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Target’s partner, Waste Management.

So, make sure you take your old car seats to Target during those select dates in April and you can rest easy knowing it’s being recycled and you are saving on new baby gear!

Thank you so much for posting this! I have an expired carseat that was only used occasionally for each of the 4 grandchildren. It’s still in great shape and I was feeling guilty about just tossing it in the garbage. I’ll pass the coupon on to an expectant Mom or a particular daycare I support. Please update us when you get the confirmed dates.

Could you please find out when the WALMART car seat Recycle days are ?? I have contacted by email, in person, and human by phone and NO ONE KNOWS…. I would so appreciate it !! I’ve heard they will give you a $30. gift cert., My grandkids are in boosters and as a grandmaw, my seats were only used as spares.. So I really don’t need 20% toward other baby items…. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH in advance !!
