The Secret to the Best Wingstop Ranch Dressing 😉
So what makes Wingstop ranch taste so good? It's actually Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning packets - that's what they use in-store! We've been making this ranch for years, and we even updated our original recipe based on feedback from a reader who worked at Wingstop for 7 years - so you know it's the real deal.
The other key is the texture. Unlike thick, gloopy bottled ranch, Wingstop ranch is thinner and super dippable. That's where the buttermilk comes in - it loosens everything up so you get that perfect, pourable consistency that clings to every wing. Pair this with our Wingstop Cajun fried corn for the full copycat experience at home! 😉
🥛Wingstop Ranch Ingredients
That's it - just 3 simple ingredients, and you're on your way to the best ranch!

How to Make Wingstop Ranch
There's only about 5 minutes between you and the most delicious ranch!

- Step 1: Add the mayonnaise, most of the buttermilk, and both ranch seasoning packets to a bowl.
💡 No buttermilk? Substitute with equal parts milk plus 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar per cup. It won't be quite the same, but it works in a pinch!

- Step 2: Whisk until smooth. Add more buttermilk as needed until you reach that classic thin, dippable Wingstop consistency.
Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving - this lets the flavors meld together. It gets even better the longer it sits!

What to Dip in This Homemade Wingstop Ranch 🍗
Let's be honest - this ranch is good on just about everything. But if you want to go full Wingstop at home, try it with our air fryer lemon pepper wings, garlic parm wings, or mango habanero wings. It's also amazing with fries, pizza, veggies, salads, or straight off a spoon (no judgment 😉).

Copycat Wingstop Ranch Recipe (Easy! 3 Ingredients)
Briana Make Wingstop's famous ranch at home with this easy copycat recipe! It uses just 3 ingredients - mayonnaise, buttermilk, and Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning packets - and comes together in about 5 minutes. The key to nailing that signature Wingstop flavor and texture is the buttermilk, which thins everything out for a perfectly dippable consistency and subtle tang. Whisk it all together, chill for 30 minutes to let the flavors develop, and serve with wings, fries, pizza, or veggies. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 7 days. 5 from 4 votes Print Recipe Pin Recipe Save Recipe Saved! Notes
- Buttermilk substitute: Use equal parts milk plus 1 tablespoon lemon juice or white vinegar per cup. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
- Consistency: Start with less buttermilk and add more as needed - you want it thin and dippable, not thick like bottled ranch.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. We don't recommend freezing.
- Make ahead: This ranch gets even better as it sits! Make it a day ahead if you can

Sorry to burst your bubble but buttermilk is used in the recipe. And I can also tell you that it certainly is not high quality mayonnaise nor is heavy cream used. You at least got the Hidden Valley Ranch packet right though. This is from someone who worked at wingstop for 7 years by the way. Otherwise, a pretty good recipe. Just not in any way wingstop
