It depends on the game. The 970 may gain ~5% over the 780.

    dont upgrade

the 780 is a bit below the 970 but not worth blowing another $330 on

Most likely not worth the upgrade, but it goes like this: 960 - 780 - 970.

The 970 is significantly stronger than the 780 as the 970 even beats the 780Ti at some games (by a few FPS). But if youre upgrading you'd want to do a bigger jump IMO :)

I used to have a 780. Got a 970, and it's roughly 10% faster than the 780. But I prefer it more due to how much more quiet it is.

But since you already have a 780, then I wouldn't switch it. Since it's still a properly fast card. I only changed because my 780 died, and the replacement card I got was a 970.

i use my GTX780 for 1440p Gsync gaming and it still hold it's own fairly well...though i would benefit from an upgrade to a 980ti...will probably do that soon...a GTX980 is the minimum i would even consider for an upgrade to the 780.

The 960 is much slower than the 780, and the 970 is a tad faster...but more efficient too...it's a better card no doubt about it but not worth the upgrade unless you find a maniac willing to trade his 970 for your 780 + 40$ or something like that...probably not gonna happen.

gtx 9xx wont be able to support as well as 1080 series in DX12 ? or would be the same just a firmware upgrade or some sort ?

does the 970 completely own the 780 in high Res ?

in terms of overall. a 780 is still better than a 960 right ? just slightly i assume ?

well... theres semi-confirmed issues between the 900 series and DX12.

but those issues being there or not, the next generation can only be better.

HBM2 is gonna be really interesting as well...
