haybayian H Hello, I am rewiring a 1998 ABA which I have rebulit. This engine is now fueled through carbs and will rely on the stock ignition distributor + a small module called MicroSquirt. I need to understand the wires coming out of the stock Bosch distributor in order to proceed with the setting up of my system. Could one of you point me towards a diagram and or a clear and simple explanation of the colour coding of these distributor wires. (I have checked both Haynes and Bentley and I am still in the dark). Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Apr 4, 2011 first off, this is the wrong forum. secondly, there are 3 wires going to the hall sender (bentley calls it cam position sensor) it is on 97-388 in the wiring diagram in the mk3 bentley brown/black is ground red/black is reference.. it will either be 5v reference or 12v reference this should be a constant voltage green/white is signal. this goes to the ecu Insert Quotes Post Reply
