Introduction

ABOUT VNUK

VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education - the predecessor of the International University, the University of DanangThe University of Danang was honored to have been chosen and given the task by the governments of Vietnam and the United Kingdom to work with UK universities in implementing the scheme of establishing the VN-UK University, a public-international university in Danang. Based on Decision number 5555/QĐ-BGDĐT by the Ministry of Education & Training on 22 November 2013, the Public-International University of Vietnam – United Kingdom (VNUK) is developed in two phases: (i) the establishment of VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education as a special member of Da Nang University, (ii) the development to VN-UK International University. Accordingly, VNUK is qualified to offer undergraduate, master’s and doctorate programs as well as short-term training courses. In the past phase 1, VNUK has been collaborating with many overseas partners, particularly university partners in the UK to carry out research and training activities in the direction of approaching advanced and modern education. VNUK is regarded as the first public international university in Central Vietnam. A proposal to establish the International University has been submitted to the Ministry of Education and Training with the authorization of the Danang University Council in March 2022. During a visit to the University of Danang at that time, the Minister of Education and Training also expressed his support for the establishment of the VN-UK International University.

The friendliness of the faculty and staff, as well as the enthusiasm and hospitality of the students, are the first impressions that most visitors have of the atmosphere at VNUK. If you want to learn more, don’t be afraid to approach a passing student. Furthermore, the learning space at VNUK is not flashy, but there is some nostalgia from the UK: red phone booth, Nottingham Hill reading room, and so on. Advanced Training Programs Recommended by Aston University, UK

In consultation with Aston University, VNUK’s training programs incorporate state-of-the-art components of current UK education. The British Government appointed Aston University, a school ranked among the top 500 by Time Higher Education, as the leader of UK partner universities to collaborate with VNUK in the planning and execution of research activities as well as training initiatives.

International Components are Incorporated in The Training Program as well as The Educational Experience

As the first public university established by the governments of Vietnam and the United Kingdom to adopt the modern university model, VNUK incorporates international elements into its training programs as well as into the educational experience of its students. These include English learning environment and foreign materials, opportunities for top-up or exchange programs with partner institutions, international lecturers and students, and training programs accredited by the International Career Association and international university systems. Therefore, if you seize the opportunity, studying in Vietnam may give you the same experience and advantages as studying abroad.

Diverse Professional and Academic Experiences

VNUK makes a constant effort to give students engaging and diverse experiences. Along with preparing students for fundamental knowledge and critical thinking, we also plan a variety of activities that are appropriate for the needs of various pupils. To encourage students to learn from one another and broaden their experiences, VNUK always supports the development of clubs, sports, art performances, and foreign exchange. By providing internship opportunities during their four years of education in the network of partner companies, VNUK gives particular attention to the career experience of their students.
