Coast Guard Individual Development Plan (IDP), COMDTINST 5357.1AB. Individual Development Plan form CG-5357C. Executive Development Plan form CG-5357AD. Individual Development Plan form CG-60211. This ACN announces an update to REFs (A), (B), and (C).2. REF (D) is cancelled.3. REF (A) is updated to incorporate the new Individual Development Plan (IDP), and new Executive Development Plan (EDP) forms. Over the past 2 years the Office of Leadership (CG-128), in conjunction with the Leadership Development Center, conducted surveys and focus groups to enhance and streamline the IDP process and forms. The result has yielded a 2-page IDP form, for use by CG service members and civilian employees to capture individual personal and professional development. The form was reduced from the 19-page form to 2 pages. 4. REF (A) provides goals and responsibilities for effectively employing the Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Executive Development Plan (EDP). IDPs are mandatory for first term enlisted members and junior officers, both active duty and reservists, assigned to a permanent duty station. IDPs are optional, but highly encouraged, for mid-grade officers and civilian employees. 5. CG flag officers and Senior Executive Service (SES) are required to complete an annual EDP under the DHS Leadership Development Program (LDP). REF (C), the EDP form, is aligned with Department of Homeland Security annual completion requirements, and will assist in developing our executives both personally and professionally. 6. No paper distribution will be made of REFs (B) or (C), but both forms are available on the CGPortal at: https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/sites/externaldata/Forms/CG_5357.PDF, and https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/sites/externaldata/Forms/CG_5357A.PDF.
