    Last Updated: 28 Nov 2024 Centre Update: 5357-03 has now closed for registration. Please register candidates on the new 5357-23. Please Note: 5357 BS7671:2018 (2022) Amendment 2 The 5357-022 is the current version of BS7671 and includes Amendment 2. Centres wishing to take the latest test including the Amendment 2 updates and the May 2023 Corrigendum, must book on the 5357-022. This qualification is designed for learners wishing to gain an apprenticeship within the Electrotechnical industry. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems. On successful completion learners will have achieved the industry desired level of competence required to carry out the specific roles. This qualification is available at Level 3 only and aimed at learners wishing to commence a career within the Electrotechnical industry. Please use the following links to check availability:

    General Information

    What Is Involved In Studying This Course?
    Throughout your study you will cover a number of specialist subject areas. Some of these are the following : Health and Safety legislation, Environmental legislation, Practices and procedures. Scientific Principles, Inspection and testing. Fault finding and diagnosis. Design and Installation.
    What Careers Can This Lead To?
    Our qualifications can lead directly into employment, offering learners the chance to develop their skills and knowledge to a high standard recognised by the industry. The qualification contribute knowledge, understanding, and practical skills regarding Installing and Maintaining Electrotechnical Systems. Candidates will have learnt the required skills and knowledge to demonstrate their occupational competence in the workplace. In addition, we also have a number of Higher Level qualifications offered through ILM.
    What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?
    To deliver this qualification you will need qualified and competent assessors and staff, as well the required physical resources and suitable facilities. The requirements for these can be found in the qualification handbook. Centres currently offering the 2357 qualifications will have to complete a fast track form, all other centres will be need to fill out a full (QAP) qualification approval form.
