    Hi I have an Astra Theme and am using Gutenburg.

    The problem is the Alt. text is not showing up on front end images. All that show’s up instead is the webpage and a load of random letters.

    I have tried several plugins to see if that would work but to no luck.

    Can anyone help with this? I’m not very tech-savvy so explaining it in layman’s terms would be good!

    Hi @anthonymo,

    I am also using Astra with Gutenberg. There shouldn’t be any need to use third-party plugins to set the alt text.

    Here’s how I set an image alt tag.

    • Open a page in Gutenberg
    • Select an image block
    • Edit the Alt Text found in the Block > Image settings
    • Preview or Update the page
    • Inspect the image using Firefox or Chrome dev tools

    Hello @anthonymo

    The Astra theme fetches the Image and its content from the Gutenberg blocks or from the Image settings.

    You can follow the steps mentioned by @mlchaves to help you with this requirement.
