(neu318) Alternator fuse is fuse F177 (on top of battery) http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif #3 · Aug 13, 2008 Re: Alternator fuse location? (AndrewParris) Or, you could say its the metal piece connected to the larger black wire that comes into the battery holder. All the way on the left side, if your looking at it from the top. #4 · Aug 13, 2008 Re: Alternator fuse location? (AndrewParris) Thanks, for some reason mine are not labeled. So its the black one all the way to the left then. #5 · Aug 13, 2008 Re: Alternator fuse location? (neu318) According to the two manuals I have in my office, yep. I have never had a need to remove it, but that's the one. You could actually trace the wire from the alternator to the battery fuse box, but hey - easier to ask. And the fuse is a bit untraditional. I'm sure you noted that by looking at it. Bit like a busbar, really. #6 · Aug 14, 2008 Re: Alternator fuse location? (AndrewParris) Thanks guys, yeah I had to change it cause I upgraded from the weak 90amp alternator to the 120amp after it went bad but hadn't changed the fuse. #7 · Jun 23, 2021 Is there any fuse in the fuse box that controls the voltage regulator? #8 · Jun 24, 2021 No, voltage regulator is bolted to an alternator and does not include any fuses. When the load is too high for rpms, it just limits excitation current so fuse would not make much sense there. #9 · Jun 24, 2021 I was not sure if he is asking the fuse that controls the exciter wire or if there is a fuse on the voltage regulator modules that is inside the alternator..... If he is asking for the fuse that controls the exciter wire, it would be one of those fuse inside the cabinet the same one when you put your keys to the On-Accessory position I think...
