Bought one earlier this year. Super handy, as the wife leaves the garage door open unintentionally every now and then, so I set the MyQ to notify me if it's been open for 5 minutes, lol. Subscription model did not bother me as I do not care to use Google Home/Alexa/etc. for garage control. One thing I learned after watching reviews (written reviews don't really mention this) is that it makes a pretty loud and rapid beeping noise for a few seconds when remotely closing the garage door. It sounds like a smoke alarm, and probably beeps for at least 30 seconds straight - at least 5 seconds before the garage door closes, while the door is closing, and maybe another 10 seconds afterwards. I would hate to have to use it in the middle of the night. Apparently a law enforces manufacturers to include this safety feature for remotely closing garages, but I really wish the beep wasn't *that* loud and maybe longer beeps, like a large vehicle backing up. I hope I don't regret doing this, and I'm not going to recommend this to anyone, but I opened up the unit and ripped off the speaker (as one Youtube video showed me you can do). +1

That should not be the case. Mine updates regardless of using the app of the wall switch.

Yu have to air it like a second remote. What model is the door opener?

I don’t understand what the product is for. I have the app and my garage doors are all automatically controlled through the app. Why do I need an additional hub? What is the benefit of integrating it with smart things or IFTTT? If you like them, please be sure to up vote my posts! When you upvote my posts, this is what happens: My wife loves me more, my car goes faster, my house becomes bigger, My boss gives me a raise. Fact check, none of the above is valid.

Has anyone trying price matching with BB? I noticed the model # at BB has a "c" at the end, so probably not.

Thanks for this. I haven't used the one I have for a while because of their subscription model (and the battery died in the sensor on the door) but I'll give it a go and link it up.

I was able to price match with home depot. Just checked my order and I purchased the one with a c at the end. Didn't realize until now, but they price matched with no questions. I ordered online and then texted them to price match.

You can set up automation routines or voice commands to open/close your garage door without using the app.

Price matching a US sku to a CDN is YMMV. Depends on the person handling your PM if they check the model number or UPC code to verify the price match. Some might get lucky or some will get turned down.

For doing things that don't involve the APP. For example: If door is open for more then 5 minutes, notify me. Or: If I leave the house for more then 5 minutes and the door is open notify me.
