#3 · Jun 20, 2018 (Edited) I'm not sure, but read the M50s have aluminum pistons, vs steel. Similar to the R1 (aluminum) and MT-10 (steel), which look identical other than the caps. But even if they're both aluminum, smaller pistons don't seem to be an advantage to me, but maybe I'm missing something. Finally, the M50s and M4.32s are not identical. Similar, but if you look at the 2 bikes next to each other, you notice the differences. The M50s look slimmer, and of slightly different shape. Having said that, I bet it takes an accomplished racer to notice the difference, even at the track. I personally like the black R brakes better, even with their 'inferior' M/C, which I'd never adjust on the RS anyway. The more desirable changes on the RS are the extra power, better dash unit (more modes, etc), the mirrors, seat cowl, and chin spoiler. But I llike the red frame better, and the less radical tires on the R. Where I live, the difference between the 2 is only a grand, so the decision is harder to make. #4 · Jun 20, 2018 I'm not sure as well but I think the M50's are made from one single block of aluminum which makes the piece stronger and lighter the at the same time Enviado do meu SM-G955F através do Tapatalk #5 · Jun 20, 2018 (Edited) After more reading it seems its the M430 caliper (a ducati implementation) that is argued as the same as an M50 (also ducati implementation). So maybe our/triumph's M4.32 are different than the M50 used on triumphs. I'm guessing that the 30 in the M430 is referencing the piston size maybe since someone here said the M50 has that also. So the name M50 was adopted over M430 just for the anniversary. And to complete the "guess" the M4.32 on triumphs is refering to a 32MM piston. :nerd: - ?
