I. Dùng"late"như adj

1. Mang nghĩa"trễ"

=if you are late, you arrive somewhere after the correct or usual time

Với nghĩa này, late thường không dùng trước noun

2. Mang nghĩa"vào cuối ngày hoặc đêm, hoặc một thời gian (giai đoạn) nào đó (cuối đời...)"

=near the end of a period of time such as a day, month, or season the late 18th century/near the end of an evening or night/done near the end of someone’s life or career

=used for talking about someone who has died, especially recently

=after the correct or usual time

=near the end of a period of time such as a day, month, season, or someone’s life or career/near the end of an evening or night
