Is the ABS light on also? * It could just be a corroded ground wire for the module.* The module of the anti-lock braking system can form corrosion after a while. This is actually one of the most common reasons for why there ends up being a problem with the anti-lock braking system. If the module is corroded, then it can’t obtain information from the wheel speed sensor. As a result, the ABS light illuminates on the dashboard. It doesn’t even take a lot of corrosion to cause this to happen either. But you will need to replace the module after this happens. Personally, I would replace the module. Sometimes the light stays on and sometimes it goes away. The strange thing is, is that everything works fine. No problems with braking, abs, traction, cruise control,ECT. #4 · Mar 13, 2020 I would check the abs sensors on the wheels first. #5 · Mar 13, 2020 Ahh ok then. I would check the abs sensors on the wheels first. #6 · Mar 13, 2020 How would I check and know if they are good? #7 · Mar 13, 2020 The problem you have seems intermittent. That's why I suggested to check the speed sensors as a starting point and it's also a common failure point. It's possible that you could just look to see of there is an obvious problem with the wiring or a connector. The code for a bad speed sensor is not being displayed, though. #8 · Mar 13, 2020 Any one else have some help for this guy? #9 · Apr 3, 2022 Hey man I’m having the same problem on my 2012 Colorado did u end up getting it fixed and if so what was the problem #10 · Jul 27, 2022 I’ve had a similar problem too, took me a while to get it resolved Status Not open for further replies.
