Biodata

XUE Bo obtained his Ph.D in Biochemical Engineering from Tianjin University, China, and received training on protein X‐ray crystallography at the Biomedical Centre of Uppsala University, Sweden. He has broad interests in both basic and applied research, and has made significant contributions to various projects on actin-binding proteins, self-assembling peptides and enzymes. His current research focuses on deciphering the structure-function relationship of novel enzymes, and on the application of these enzymes in synthetic biology. He received and participated in two competitive research programmes. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles. He serves as a reviewer for international journals such as Biotechnology for Biofuels, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, & 3 Biotech.
