Dr. Tam M. Trinh was raised in the northwest side of Chicago. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry (UIC COD) in 2012. Dr. Trinh then completed his specialty training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), where he received his master of science and Certificate in Endodontics. Prior to this, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the field of biological science, graduating cum laude.

While at UIC COD, Dr. Trinh was awarded the Jerry F. Balaty Award for excellence in Operative Dentistry and the American Association of Orthodontists Award for excellence in Pre-Doctoral education. During his specialty training at UNC, Dr. Trinh completed research investigating the roles of intra-operative factors influencing outcome of treatment success. He has presented his research at national meetings. Recently, he received the Jacob B. Freeland Fellowship. Dr. Trinh is also a board certified member of the American Association of Endodontists. He actively participates in continuing education, and his special interests include surgical endodontics and implantology.

As a member of your treatment team, Dr. Trinh helps guide the decision-making process using the latest research to provide biologically based treatments. In his free time, Dr. Trinh enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He is also an avid basketball fan, and enjoys sports and fitness.

Memberships: American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and American Association of Endodontists.
