It sits comfortably over the huge lateral plastic. Feels great. This is the best grip I ever had compared to any other mice. Ended destroying the main switch. I never really liked how it tracks, but it was the only mouse lasting forever while all other had different issues, most commonly double clicks. I had every decent model you can imagine, over the years. When I needed to move, I sold everything and kept this MX518 because it was very reliable. So when I destroyed the switch, I bought the Model O and hated the shape, but the tracking feels amazing. So I bought the MX518 Hero. Well, sensor feels behind, delayed when compared to 3360/3366. It tracks perfectly, but crazily feels somewhat delayed, very little, but perceivable for me, when compared to the 3360/3366. So I purchased the G Pro Hero, tried it, and felt the same. Ended buying the old G Pro, the original, and it feels much better. Sometimes it feels good, other times it feels different. I also tried the gpro 3366 and it feels pretty good. But it feels better on the g403, here this sensor feels more consistent than hero. Only the shape of these 2 do not convince me. I came from a g100s and was looking for a replacement, so I had to try different mice. Most sensors now are good enough so you don't have to worry about that. I'd say get the mouse if you have bigger hands/longer fingers. I use 800 as it feels better in desktop use but again the sensor in all modern mice is good enough for both.
