MX518, G400, G400s Shape "bad For Gaming" - Linus Tech Tips

The MX518 is as I've understood a legendary mouse, and its successors; the G400 and G400s use the exact same shape. I recently read somewhere though, that a guy called Lvlcap (really good FPS gamer and youtuber), said that the G400s' shape is bad for gaming as I doesn't allow you to react as fast as something like the Deathadder. I'm not sure if this is biased marketing or something, or if he actually has a point. What do you think?

Mice shape is 100% personal opinion, if it works for you don't let anyone tell you different. The guys was just stupid and being biased.

I have used the MX510, MX518 and I am now using the G400s. All I can tell you is that this is utter bullshit ^^

Honestly, the ergonomics don't seem that great on my G400. The deathadder feels much more comfortable.

Personal preference. I for my part get finger-AIDS of the DA ^^

But the statement said "reviewer" made saying that the G400s [and equivalents) are bad for gaming is plain bullshit ^^

I don't really like the shape myself, but I do always have one stashed away as a back up mouse due to how well they perform and how good the build quality is.

I like levelcap when it comes to in game tips but when it comes to hardware tips he can be really stupid and ignorant.

The MX518 and all those other mice are designed for the palm grip where you rest your entire hand on the mouse, most FPS players for one reason or another use a claw grip and the shape and weight of the MX518 isn't great for it, but saying it's bad for gaming is wrong because it's all about how the user likes to hold his mouse and his/her preferred DPI settings.
