weebeast Hi, I want to buy a new mice and mousepad and i want to know which one i should get. I am using a G9X that i love a lot but the scrolling wheel stopped working. I can get the g502 for 80euro including a free logitech PowerShell Controller. The G602 and G700 are around the same price in other web shops but without the PowerShell Controller. I am also a fingertip user. The G440 Hard Gaming Mouse Pad looks very nice and i also checked artisan but i am not sure what to get. Thank you! #1 · Jul 31, 2014 Hi, I want to buy a new mice and mousepad and i want to know which one i should get. I am using a G9X that i love a lot but the scrolling wheel stopped working. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Jul 31, 2014 I have the g602, great but a little bit too big for me. I have about 16cm hands from middle finger to wrist #3 · Jul 31, 2014 Stay away from the G700s completely if you game a lot and you like grippy side grips. It will not have any grip at all with the "Dry grip" feature from Logitech , similar to the one included with your G9x , I have both , I love the G9x Satin grip better since it has more grip than the dry grip one. #4 · Jul 31, 2014 Thanks! I also use the Satin grip and love it to be honest. The biggest problem for me is that i don't want to get any other brand except logitech because of their warranty. So i am limited to those 3 models and none of them has the looks of the G9X. So i don't know which one would fit me the best. I don't game a lot to be honest #5 · Jul 31, 2014 You can also now check out the G402 which is also excellent. I wouldn't buy the G700 for its sensor and the G602 has a worse sensor than the 502 and 402 #6 · Aug 1, 2014 Thanks, i ordered the 502 since the 402 was still in preorder@ logitech site. I also bought the M.O.U.S. 9 on flash sale for 60 euro from amazon. Which one should i keep? #7 · Aug 1, 2014 If the M.O.U.S 9 is from Mad Catz or Sitek you shouldn't keep it, they are known to be cheap quality. But as soon as the feet of the G502 start to peel off (if you decide to keep it) message Logitech, they'll send you new ones. #8 · Aug 1, 2014 G602 is overprized... Have a 2500DPi sensor only. I read a czech review and G402 is characterized as too heavy on back and slow communication with PC... It is gaming mouse with name only, but it is a normal mouse. G700s is better choice when you need a wireless mouse, not ? G502 Proteus Core i have - now i tested it very intensive (i have second - first i back it for problem with ergonomics - but i bought next - and - yes it's not a ideal shape as DeathAdder.)Sensor is very good and quick, but i think a may be lighter... With full load of weight is VERY heavy. Naturally-tanks real metal wheel is little heavy to head... And G402 Hyperion Fury is new... Looks as G502 with rubber wheel, with "worse" sensor as G502 but better when G602. IMHO: G602 - Don't buy G502 & G402 - bought and test it - and that was ideal for you hand - they will retain... Mouse pad: I tested beyond time three. Stell series QCK - "legendary and cheap" mousepad. Relative thin - but as new intensive smell.... And this isn't an violet scent... Tesoro Aegis X4 - BIG mousepad. Really BIG. Quality surface - mouses glides FAST.... But - iS THICK(4-5mm - i not sure) - and on sides have knit - as tablecloth - and this isn't comfort.... Look it nice - but this knit make a press on your wrist - and you have here soon a bruising... I was very disappointed with this mousepad... Logitech G240 - Logitech is expensive. And it is a medium size mousepad... But - is THIN. Very THIN. Producer declared a 1mm and i think it is probably true - maybe is thinned.... Logitech don't smell and is light - you must have a clean surface of your table - any particle make a "bump" under mousepad. Pity that isn't exist a XXL version of G240 - i maybe used it... Thicker and cheaper (but little smallest) is Roccat Isku... (Declared 0.45mm thin)but i haven't it. I mean: mousepad must be - BIG (Minimal 35x28) and THIN. Cloth mouse pads haven't problem with temperature (can't be cold) - and for optic sensors are ideal...I never used a aluminum or plastic mousepad... I think best is a "tablecloth" mouse pad where can you arm relax... IMHO aluminum may be hot or cold (and hard) and plastic is hard and thick... Or you can test a legendary Razer DeathAdder 2013. It's little obsolete(NO DPI SWITCH BUTTON) and "dump" but have great ergo shape and it's sensor too isn't bad... It is a classic FPS mouse... only little over prized and with disputability quality-but mine works really good. #9 · Aug 1, 2014 I haven't found any problems with my G602 at 500dpi, also who even uses over 2500dpi. The G602 uses the same sensor as the G100s and the G402, I think it's called something like AM1010 or something like that. The G402 just has accelometer and a gyroscope so it can track at higher speeds, but as I said I havent had any problems with my G602 in CS:GO with 500dpi and 1.38 ingame #10 · Aug 1, 2014 Are you finnish@weebeast, since here we have a promotion to get the PowerShell if you buy a Logitech product #11 · Aug 1, 2014 Thanks! I have ordered the g502 from logitech themselves so i can return it easily if i didn't like it. The G402 is still in preorder phase. The G700s doesn't look bad but i like wired more. Based on experience i will mostly forget to charge it. No i am dutch:D, we also have the promotion here hehe I like the Roccat isku but it will take 2-4 weeks before it's on stock. What about the Razer Goliathus world of tank edition? #12 · Aug 3, 2014 The G700s will ultimately bother you. I hate to be the one to butt in here and say it but you should avoid laser mice as you may learn to hate them down the road. I certainly did. #13 · Aug 5, 2014 Well i like both laser and optical till now to be honest. I have been using laser since the mx 1000. Since the g502 isn't very great in my oppinion i'm thinking of getting the SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Gaming mouse or the Mionix Avior 7000. #14 · Aug 5, 2014 Quote:

I would definitely stick with either the Avior or the FK1. #15 · Aug 5, 2014 Thanks, i have emailed Mionix with some questions about the aftersales. If all goes right, i will order it tomorrow:D #16 · Aug 5, 2014 Quote:

They should respond quickly. If they don't, contact me and I will personally forward your questions or see if they can answer them faster #17 · Aug 5, 2014 I have the 700s and I will say that the battery on it sucks. This is the second 700s I've had, the first was replaced under warranty due to battery. I don't normally use the wireless but when i hook it up to my laptop, it only lasts about an hour. Also the "dry grip" is horrible too. First chance I get I'm jumping ship on this and getting another mouse. #18 · Aug 6, 2014 Quote:

Haha , same here. The dry grip "feature" that they have is so bad that you won't even get any grip with it , it will literally drop when you lift up your mouse , that how bad it is when i first used it . I had to stick some sticky tape on the sides to have grip. Also , to TS , the G700s can be used both with battery or without it (wired). But trust me , you shouldn't get that. I'm now currently waiting for my FK1 to arrive , because it's lighter and hopefully i'll be able to tell the difference since it's a highly regarded mouse/sensor. #19 · Aug 6, 2014 Quote:

Thanks! Will you know if they didn't reply. Yeh i won't get the 700s or any other logitech mouse at the moment. Seems their quality is still garbage after so many years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jck6dZcizAg&feature=youtu.be A short video of the scrolling problem. Logitech says it's normal but i never had this problems with other logitech mouses? In the last part of the video you see that it scrolls back automaticly. Edit: i fixed my G9X scrolling wheel, i opened it and there was a big dust/hair pasrt in it(left one). It works fine after i removed it. Right one is from under the mouse click part.
