Aug 28, 2017 12,401 98 69,090 1060 3gb, 960 is too weak to use up 4 gb ram, mostly less than 2gb will be needed. However, 1060 has more CUDA cores, which is the real deal. 1060 6gb is good to have if you can spend a little bit more. For 1060's gpu power, some games will reach that 3gb limit, thus 6gb is good to have and also has more cuda cores than 3gb. Upvote 0 Downvote bjornl

Mar 16, 2016 2,962 2 10,965 The 960 won't render faster because it has more ram. This is not the case with the 1060, as the 3gb version is mildly crippled compared tot he 6gb ( it is not just a ram difference). THe 1060 3gb should probably have been called something like a 1055ti. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-960-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-3GB/3165vs3646 Upvote 0 Downvote Dark Lord of Tech

Aug 28, 2017 12,401 98 69,090 RX 580 8gb is good to have with freesync too. 1060 6gb is quicker with more cuda cores, RX 580 will be better in 4k I think, due to extra 2 gb vram. Upvote 0 Downvote Dark Lord of Tech
