Procedure: Time Activities 7’ 4’ 7’ 10’ 5’ 10’ 2’ ­ Warm up Shark attack J OLYMPIC ----- ---- ----- --- ---- ---- --- ---- - Give the topic - Guess the word with 7 letters ­Lead in Hang this picture Ask students some questions + What is this? + What do you know about the Olympic? + When did the Olympic start? + How often is it held? I. Pre- listening Vocabulary: Champion ['t∫æmpjən] (n) nhà vô địch, nhà quán quân romantic [rou'mæntik] (adj) lãng mạn sports teacher ( n) giáo viên dạy thể dục diploma [di'ploumə] ( n) văn bằng join [dʒɔin] (v) tham gia Checking vocabulary: matching II. While-listening Set the scene: Sally has been the Olympic champion. You are going to listen to a conversation between her and Bob. Listen and do the following tasks. . Activity 1: True / false statements (task 1- textbook) Guess the answer before listening Listen some times Discuss Listen again Check the answer Call some students to explain the answers Give the feedbacks Answer: 1. T 2. T 3. F ( I don’t have much free time) 4. T 5. F ( I want to be a aports teacher) Activity 2: Gap filling ( task 2- textbook) - Listen again - Work in pairs - Check students’ answer - Listen again to check - Give the correct answers Answer: 1. a general education 2. lives- family 3. different- swimming 4. love stories 5. teacher’s diploma III. Post-listening Discussion Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about Sally. 1. When was Sally born? 2. Where and with whom does Sally live? 3. What kind of sports does she like? 4. What does she like to do in her free time? 5. What doe she want to be in the future? - Work in groups - Make a short talk about Sally basing on these questions - Call some Ss to give the talk to class IV.
