I know that the HID retrofit has been beat to death. Especially so with the GS. I'm wondering if anyone had any poor/great experiences the H7R style bulb. I don't normally get flashed by oncoming traffic but I'd like to have something that's less blinding to oncoming traffic. [IMG] It's the exact same dimension as the H7 bulb but I'm just looking for feedback about the effectiveness of that painted on shroud. The ballast wigged out on my original ballast. So, I just installed this bulb with a new slim digital ballast and haven't taken it for a night ride yet. I tried doing a search and didn't get any results.

It's based on a D2R oem bulb which is used with reflector type housings as opposed to projector type for the D2S.

I bought them for $58.97 off of Ebay from this guy. http://stores.ebay.com/Ultra-Vision-HID Just type in "H7R slim" and it should pop up for ya. Yeah, he's in China and the shipping was 30 bucks but I got my HID's in 2 days from the day I ordered it. I was impressed how fast they arrived. It arrived in new condition just like any other HID kit I've ordered before. Tested it on a battery and both worked great. PLUS the thing that impressed me the most is that the harness already had the rubber headlamp bulb access cap pass-thru assembled. All you need to do is drill the hole in the cap and pop it in. No fishing wires.
