Our machines offer you complete freedom to execute complicated profiling in steel pipes, beams, box sections and other profiles regardless of size and specifications. You will eliminate grinding and reduce both fitting and welding time, simply because you can produce clean, exact cuts. That is why our profiling machines are present in the world’s leading construction, shipbuilding and offshore companies and in the process piping industry. We know this for a fact, because we don’t just design and build outstanding 3D Profiling machines, we also use them every day. Our 3D Profiling subcontracting services handle roughly 250 tons of material per week. That is how we get the understanding and insights that allows us to design and build the best profiling machines in the world. And since HGG is all about freedom, we’re quite happy to share our knowledge and software with you. Many 3D cutting jobs worldwide are done through HGG machinery. Founded in 1984, HGG is the world’s only company fully devoted to steel profile cutting providing both tailor made machinery and knowledge to the highest standards. Our machines are sold worldwide to leading companies in the Offshore, Steel Construction, Process Piping, Shipbuilding and other industries. We produce 3D cutting machines for every kind of steel with the exception of plate (that means pipe, square, rectangular, I, H, T, flat, HP/bulb, equal angle, unequal angle etc.) and as long as it is thick enough to require a bevel (weld preparation). Our machines drastically reduce cutting, fitting, grinding and welding time.

  Gisteren was het 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗴 en vandaag hebben we bij HGG samen aandacht besteed aan deze dag. Tijdens een round table met onze CEO, Wiebe Wiersma, kwamen vrouwelijke collega’s samen om in gesprek te gaan over onderwerpen die vrouwen binnen HGG direct raken. Onder begeleiding van Ingeborg Valkonet, onze Chief Operating Officer, was er ruimte om ideeën, vragen en ervaringen met elkaar te delen.   Fits like a glove! In mission-critical and oil & gas work, precision is paramount. "Close enough" simply doesn't cut it (pun intended). It requires experienced hands, disciplined processes, and the right automation to ensure consistent cuts for fit and tack which are essential for maintaining the smooth flow of spool fabrication.

  When one of our customers experienced a complete standstill on their HGG machine, the impact was immediate. Production stopped. Crates remained empty. Planning pressures increased by the hour. Within 24 hours of the initial call, our service team was on-site. Equipped with the right tools, critical spare parts, and remote diagnostic insights gathered in advance, they arrived prepared to act—not to assess and return later. The issue was identified quickly: a critical component failure that had halted the cutting process. Thanks to precise troubleshooting and hands-on expertise, the team replaced the faulty component, recalibrated the system, and validated performance parameters on-site. Two hours after boots hit the ground, the machine was fully operational. By the end of the shift, production had resumed. Crates were filling again. Delivery schedules were stabilized. What began as a costly standstill was reduced to a short interruption through decisive field response. This case reflects a simple principle: rapid mobilization, technical depth, and ownership on-site make the difference between prolonged downtime and controlled recovery.   Not every piece of pipe we cut ends up on a job. Sometimes it’s a test like this one – intentionally sacrificed so our field crews don’t have to. These two test pieces came off our HGG Profiling Specialists 5-axis cutter as part of a calibration run. We used it to dial in our piping database, content, and data mapping so every hole, bevel, and cut aligns exactly with the model and the bill of materials on the table. Why bother with “throwaway” pipe? Because if we find issues here, we fix them in the shop before a single hanger, riser, or branch is laid out in the field. That means: · Fewer field fit surprises · Less rework · More true plug-and-play prefab for our partners This is a great example of innovation and quality control!
