HM01 Cut Guide - Pokemon Fire Red & Leaf Green

SS Anne Ticket from Bill

HM01 is Cut, an ability that's used to clear small tree obstacles throughout the game. You can acquire Cut fairly early on in the game, the quest for it starts on Route 25 at Pokemon Bill; you'll have to help turn him back into a human in order for him to give you the S.S Anne Ticket, a Key Item which lets you board the ship in Vermillion City.

The ship itself works much like a dungeon does in the game. There's multiple trainers throughout the many different rooms of the ship that you can challenge if you wish. Our primary goal (in order to obtain HM01 Cut) is to speak with the ship's captain. After speaking with him you'll be rewarded with HM01 Cut.
