What Pokemon Can Learn Cut (HM01) - PokemonCoders
Cut (HM01) is a normal type move that appeared first in Generation I to Generation VI. In Generation, I to III Cut is used to removing obstacles such as trees that block your way.
Featured VideosCut is a very useful move that can be also obtained through cheats or finding the item on its location.

Regarding learnset, Kartana is the only Pokemon that can learn cut by leveling up while most Pokemon can have cut by HM. Kartana is found only in Generation VII.

Generations VII to IX: The HM system was replaced in Generation VII with new mechanics like Ride Pokémon in “Sun and Moon”, “Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon”, and “Scarlet/Violet”, and Secret Techniques in “Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!”.
These changes were made to make gameplay smoother by removing the need for HM moves to be carried by Pokémon in the player’s party for navigation and obstacle removal.
Conclusion
The HM Cut is a must-move for every Pokemon player, and it brings an enormous help not only in cutting down blocking trees but also during a battle. Plenty of Pokemon can learn cut and not just the grass type Pokemon.
