Honda’s entry-level ADV bike is here in the Philippines

After its debut in Indonesia late last year, Honda Philippines unwraps the CB500X’s little sibling, the CB150X, for the Filipino riders with an SRP of PHP 163,900.

Little CB500X

Inspired by the bigger, expressways-legal CB500X, the new CB150X is a nice beginner adventure bike for those who want to go further from where the road ends. It shares the same liquid-cooled DOHC 149cc engine from the CB150R complete with its 6-speed transmission.

Unlike the CB150R, however, the CB150X offers its riders a comfortable upright riding position which is perfect for that long haul. Other features include an inverted fork that is shared with the CRF150L, front and rear disc brakes on 17-inch cast wheels, a fully-digital panel, windshield, tapered handlebar, and an all-LED lighting system.

Marketed as a light adventure bike, the new CB150X tips the scales at only 139kg (claimed dry weight), and with its 12-liter fuel tank capacity, Honda claims that the new CB150X can go as far as 456 kilometers in one top up with its 38 kilometers per liter fuel consumption.

Not expressways-legal

With only 150cc displacement, this new light adventure bike from Honda is definitely not an expressways-legal motorcycle. However, with the exception of its Bulacan part, the MacArthur Highway is generally a well-paved national road where the CB150X will feel at home.

And, with its 456-kilometer range, it will take its rider (and pillion) to almost any part of the country comfortably.
