#1 · Mar 13, 2009 Been thinking of moving to .45 only. My HD pistol is 45. I currently role with an HK P7 as my daily carry. How much of a differance would a switch to HK45c be in your opinion strictly from a comfort/concelability stand point? Thanks for any feed back in advance! Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Mar 13, 2009 Just my .02... I've been carrying an HK45C for about a month now. I'm 5'8", 175 lbs. with a 32" waist and have had no problem carrying an HK45C in a Sparks VM-2 all day, every day. It's probably as large and as heavy a gun as I would want to carry IWB but it's definitely not burdensome. If I'm not mistaken, the P7 and HK45C are not that divergent from one another in size and weight so you probably won't notice the difference. I am going to switch to the USPC .45 flat magazine floorplates as soon as Midway gets them back in stock to reduce the profile a bit but it's not really necessary. I just find the standard floorplate hooks my overshirt from time to time during presentation practice. Also, my hand can get a full purchase on the grip even without the slight extension offered by the standard floorplates. I'm curious how the gun is going to conceal this summer with lighter clothing but I don't have any real concerns in that regard. #4 · Mar 13, 2009 Well I believe hieght and length are vary similar, but I am assuming, the 45c has to been quite a but thicker.

So I don't see how much of a problem HK45C would be. #6 · Mar 13, 2009 I can't speak for the Compact but I can carry and conceal the HK45 Fullsize comfortably in a concealco... Any reasonable size pistol is concealable with a quality holster and belt IMO. To carry IWB, non tuckable, you just need to plan your wardrobe around your carry. Any method of carry for that matter. Chicks care if the belt, shoes, pants, etc... go together. I care if my clothes go with my weapon. #7 · Mar 13, 2009 i have no problem with the 45C as a carry. #8 · Mar 13, 2009 I carry the full size HK 45 every day in a Raven Concealment holster. Best rig I've had so far. No problems at all. #9 · Mar 13, 2009 I carry the HK45c in a Mitch Rosen USD II slimline. It carrys well probably mostly due to the quality and design of the holster. Image #10 · Mar 14, 2009 I carry the 45c in a Milt Sparks VMII and it conceals well. #11 · Mar 15, 2009 I was also thinking of purchasing a HK45C for conceal carry. I have been carrying my USP 45 Full Size in a Milt Sparks VMII and it is not comfortable. This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.
