Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD)
Leads ADB engagement in the thematic agendas of climate change, disaster risk management and environmental sustainability; gender equality; fragility and engagement; and regional cooperation and integration and trade. CCSD advises and supports management and other departments to integrate the thematic agendas across all ADB operations. CCSD also oversees the Partner Funds Division.

Sectors Department 1 – Transport and Energy Sectors Group
The Transport and Energy Sectors Group is a dedicated operational unit within ADB, focusing on delivering sector strategies, initiatives, and integrated solutions that advance ADB’s strategic agenda in these critical areas working across regions and with ADB’s clients and in partnership with development partners. This group supports the delivery of sovereign, nonsovereign, and advisory operations, as well as knowledge services, specifically within the transport and energy sectors.
The group collaborates closely with regional departments (RD) and resident missions (RM) to engage with Developing Member Countries (DMCs), ensuring ADB’s technical leadership both externally and internally. By concentrating on transport and energy, the group aims to drive sustainable development and innovation, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities within these sectors.
