Welcome to Huhtamaki India! Huhtamaki India Ltd is India's specialist producer of primary consumer flexible packaging and labelling materials. We are part of Huhtamaki Oyj, a global specialist in food packaging. With a proud history of more than 80 years, Huhtamaki India is committed to building long-term relationships with our customers. We understand the needs of the market, producing innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions to help our customers provide safe and secure products. Huhtamaki is driven by the simple purpose to protect food, people and the planet. We have high sustainability ambitions, amongst them a commitment to Science Based Targets; achieving carbon neutral production by 2030. We will design all our products to be recyclable, compostable or re-usable. Huhtamaki India continues to invest in the future – in technology and innovation, in people and in the environment. We have several state-of-the-art manufacturing units spread across the country optimising supply chain support for our customers. Huhtamaki invests in our people. Our open, hands-on culture involves and empowers our highly skilled team to deliver innovative and sustainable products to customers and consumers globally. Their technical acumen and quality benchmarks help customers increase shelf-life, support quality, and handle transportation of their products, safely. We are committed to Quality Management, Hygiene and Safety programmes ensuring world-class manufacturing excellence. We were the first company in India to hold three important Quality certifications – ISO-9001:2000; BRC-IoP and HACCP.   We are celebrating a remarkable milestone – our 105-year anniversary. What began as a courageous idea and vision in 1920 has grown into a global journey, spanning over continents and industries. Over 100 years ago our founder, Heikki Huhtamäki, opened the doors to the very first Huhtamaki factory in Western Finland. From our early days in food, cosmetics, and healthcare, to pioneering packaging solutions, we are united by our passion for sustainable packaging.   Meet Axel Glade, our new President of Flexible Packaging, who joined Huhtamaki last month. With over three decades of experience in the flexible packaging industry, Axel has experienced how the industry has evolved. Since stepping into his new role, he has focused on getting to know our company and empowering his teams to identify new and exciting opportunities across the Flexible Packaging business segment. Axel shares that a 'can-do/will-do' attitude is key to achieving our ambitious goals for 2030. “By being close to our operations and customers we can drive agility and speed of execution.   Huhtamaki India has announced its Q2 2025 Financial Results.   Despite a slight dip in net sales, we’ve seen improved margins this quarter compared to previous year reflecting steady operational improvements and a favourable sales mix. We continue to focus on driving operational efficiencies and improving profitability through a better sales mix and streamlined processes. “Our ambition is to be the first choice in sustainable packaging solutions, and we remain committed to delivering on that promise as part of Huhtamaki’s 2030 Strategy,” says Dhananjay Salunkhe, Managing Director.   Can we turn dialogue into action on plastic waste? We recently participated in a high-level roundtable hosted by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) at the UN House in New Delhi, focused on pollution control and sustainable development. The event brought together leaders from industry, government, civil society, and academia to explore practical solutions to plastic pollution. Ruturaj Kamthekar, Vice President – Strategic Business Development, Marketing & Product Sustainability, Flexible Packaging, shared: “We’ve invested in scalable, affordable recyclable packaging solutions.
