  Wrapping up an inspiring Pharmapack in Paris! ✨ Two intensive and energizing days at Pharmapack in Paris have now come to a close - and what an experience it has been. We have been overwhelmed by the interest and response to our Flexible Packaging solutions.   Katri Vanhainen, Head of Strategy and Business Development, Huhtamaki North America, has been recognized on the 35 Under 35 list by Finnish business magazine Talouselämä. Katri describes her journey into the role as a combination of coincidences and new projects: “I have learned that you must dare to change direction, because it leads to good things.” Last year, acting on that, Katri packed her things and moved from Finland to Kansas City, USA, to develop our North America segment’s business. “As a strategy director, my focus is on reminding people to think long-term, but in the future I would like to get closer to day-to-day business and to how our products actually reach the customer,” she says in the interview.   We are proud to announce that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has officially approved Huhtamaki’s renewed greenhouse gas reduction targets! The updated Scope 1 and 2 targets are aligned with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. We're also committed to setting long-term SBTi targets to reach net-zero by 2050. “Prioritizing sustainability is more than a requirement; it's a cornerstone of our journey to become the first choice in sustainable packaging solutions.
