Do you know if you can just go to store to exchange instead of doing it online? May end up with an Evo that way.

Simagu2 wrote: ↑ Arguably the evo panels are more advanced and may be more durable, which would be nice but it's a lot of speculation. No other real benefits unless you hack it so it thinks it's a G1, but it's too risky to get 10% brightness imo.The EVO panel itself uses Deuterium in its blue light which is apparently longer lasting and overall reduces the "Burn-in" (which is just wearing out of the organic compounds). Im not a science guy so i dont know if its more marketing than science, but im happy to at least have it opposed to not. +1

john_geush wrote: ↑ First oled/4K tv I’m having a bit of problem with brightness even in dark room If I force my google tv to output everything as Dolby vison or hdr this is ok but if I don’t and it display the file as sdr the brightness seems low The ps5 and pc work fine is this something common with newer 4K tv or just oled? What are you trying to watch? It's probably a problem with the content itself. Some movies and tv shows are just dim in general. A lot of the marvel movies are like that. Ozark is also a TV show that is just dim all around because that's how the show was produced. teksavvy sucks

That's how i found out because I went to check the warehouse stock.

john_geush wrote: ↑ There is no direct sunlight, room is north facing and even at night I’m having the problem that if the tv output sdr I feel I cannot see any detail in the shadow If I force the Chromecast to output Dolby or hdr and play with the brightness I get good result I prefer hdr for now because Dolby vision seems « mated » and not really beautiful Hdr seems to really pop the ColorFor SDR shadow detail, it might be the black level set to limited and not full, and also a combination of energy savings mode. For black level: Go to General --> Devices --> HDMI Settings --> HDMI Deep Color and make sure it's not off Then go to Picture --> Advanced Settings --> Brightness --> Black Level --> Set to Full You can also change the gamma profile to something like 2.2 versus the default BT profile. For Energy Savings Mode: Support --> OLED Care --> Device Self Care --> Energy Saving --> Energy Saving Step --> Off +2

Chalif wrote: ↑ Worth it to get the extended warranty ever tho I live in Quebec?$99 is cheap. But we have the legal warranty... Up to you, $99 buys the peace of mind for the next 5 years and prevent you to sue the merchant and/or the manufacturer at the small claim court . You may also have something included with your credit card. Take into consideration that you have 90 days to think about it and jump on the extended warranty.
