In line with Microsoft’s global strategy to redesign MSN for a mobile-first, cloud-first world, and boosted by support from strategic partner MediaCorp, the new xinmsn combines premium content from the world’s leading media outlets with productivity tools that empower users to do more.
“Since its inception, xinmsn has been one of the leading sources of news and entertainment content for Singaporeans. With the launch of the new xinmsn, Singaporeans can expect more from us. Together with MediaCorp, we look forward to delivering even better experiences to consumers and help them do more in the time-strapped world of today,” said Mr Ken Chang, Regional Sales Director for Asia Pacific, Microsoft Advertising.
Users in Singapore can now experience the new xinmsn on web and mobile browsers at xin.msn.com. The new experience will soon extend to mobile apps across all major device platforms, including Windows, iOS and Android.
“The new xinmsn will provide an even better experience for users to enjoy MediaCorp’s entertainment offerings,” said Mr William Lee, Senior Vice President of Digital Business and Technology, MediaCorp.
The new xinmsn brings together over 1,000 of the best and most authoritative content sources from around the world, such as The New York Times (US), The Guardian (UK), The Telegraph (UK), MediaCorp, Yomiuri Shimbun (Japan), Asahi Shimbun (Japan), PCCW Media (HK), CommonWealth Magazine Group (Taiwan), AFP, Reuters, Bloomberg, and BBC, as well as from leading publishers locally – including Renotalk.
Besides popular content from the world’s leading sources, the new xinmsn makes information ‘actionable’ by incorporating personal productivity tools such as hotel booking engines, shopping list generators, flight checkers, and savings calculators into the new experience. Additionally, the new xinmsn connects to popular services like Outlook.com, Office, Facebook, Twitter, OneNote, OneDrive, Xbox Music and Skype, allowing users to see their latest updates, emails and chats.
For brands, the new xinmsn offers audiences a personalized web experience, quality content from both global and local publishers, and engagement on the PC, phone and tablet. With an audience of nearly 425 million people coming from over 50 markets around the world and available across the three major device platforms, the new xinmsn is an ideal environment for seamless brand story-telling across screens.
