With MR-DC, the Master RAN Node functions as the controlling entity, utilizing a Secondary RAN for additional data capacity. Example MR-DC configurations include EN-DC (E-UTRA - NR Dual Connectivity), NR-DC (New Radio Dual Connectivity), NGEN-DC (NG-RAN - E-UTRA Dual Connectivity) and NE-DC (NR - E-UTRA Dual Connectivity).
