I have the lights mounted inside the grill in front of the radiator on either side of the emblem. i want to just replace the existing fixtures, what would yall recommend? the 130w were bright and would compliment the crappy stock high beams that are already on my 02 XLT. any recommendations? whats the difference between wattages? any suggestions? anyone selling lights? The 55w I got off another forum super cheap, but wouldn't recommend buying them. The 100w are seriously 2x as good. Spend $100 for some kc's or hellas and you can't go wrong. You definitely get what you pay for and I'd only buy name brands. Lightforce is one of the best, with kc and hella being really good also. I don't think so. The more expensive ones will be more durable. But that's about it. Driving and offroad are the same to me, might be different to other ppl. The biggest difference is spot vs flood. Spot beams will go farther and flood will go to the sides more. Lightforce offers adjustable lenses so they can be flood, spot, or anything in between Reply 0 0 ak_cowboy View Public Profile Send a private message to ak_cowboy Find More Posts by ak_cowboy View iTrader Profile Old May 20, 2011 | 03:47 PM Share Share Options #5 FireEmsF150's Avatar FireEmsF150 What's that mean? Joined: May 2011 Posts: 429 Likes: 5 From: NM Default You could try getting a 100w light from PIAA, KC or Hella and switch out the bulb with a 130w bulb, that's what I did with mine. Going from a 55w to a 130w is a little extreme IMO, too much heat builds up. As far a light patterns go it's all a matter of preference. If you drive offroad without many turns and need to see far ahead i'd pick the spot beams. For mudding, rock climbing and things of that sort where speed isn't much of an issue i'd pick the flood (or foglights). Driving beams give you a bit of both worlds-light ahead and to the side. Hope that helps! I plan to do 8in housings with 55W HIDs eventually though The outside 2 are aimed more for distance that's why the look brighter Reply 0 0

Ive had my set for about a year and their great. Sturdy metal housing and never had any problems. They come in a driving pattern and really get out there just as good as long range lights. But thats just my opinion. Good luck.
