Lennart Guitar
Check my weekly guitar vlogs!
Hey YTtalk, My name is Lennart and I decided a while ago that I'm going to create guitar video's and share them with the world. I've done all my research and I ended up buying a Sony HDR-CX330e. I also have a tripod, I will record audio on a separate track and I can record my amplifier via my laptop. There is only 1 thing left before I will start recording and that is probably the most important one: With what settings do I record for the 'best' results for YouTube videos? In my camcorder I have the option to choose between Highest Quality (FX), High Quality (FH), Standard (HQ) and Long Time (LP). I also have the option between 50i and 50p. I've seen videos about the difference in quality, but not the reviews of the total package (including uploading time for example) Of course I can record, but I don't know what is best for YouTube video's. I want to have a high video quality but it got to be worth it. For example: If the uploading time gets way longer whereas the difference in quality isn't noticeable, it's not worth it. As said, I have no experience in uploading videos so I have no clue how long uploading would take, how the quality of the original recording differs from the result on YouTube, etc. Therefor I like to consult your experience and knowledge! My camcorder offers the possibility to record in MP4 as well as in AVCHD at the same time. Can I use this to my advantage or save space and record just in 1 file-type? Basically it comes down to this: What is the best compromis for YouTube videos? Additional information: - Guitar videos - I want to use the camcorder to it's best - Static shot filmed from a tripod - Most likely my videos will take no longer than 5-6 minutes - The video's will be added a bit (intro, etc.) Thanks a lot![DOUBLEPOST=1406844069,1406820455][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyone?Brodie

50i will be better quality, so FX is what would be best
I'm not sure about mp4 and AVCHD together though Lennart Guitar

And because I planned to edit them and put them on YouTube I prefer higher quality. So I'll probably record in one file, the AVCHD. So you are suggesting FX combined with 50i?I'm not sure about mp4 and AVCHD together though Click to expand...
