After, but before the battery? A lot of corrosion and other things can happen in that time. Check the fuses; see if there's one in-line with the radio power lead. Sometimes, just disconnecting the power from the radio and reconnecting it will "wake it up." If it needed the code, you'd get a display to that effect on the radio screen. #3 · Jun 5, 2014 Dont forget there are 2 fuses for the radio. 1 on the main fuse panel and the second in the back of the radio. You need the tools to remove the radio to. #4 · Jun 5, 2014 so I removed the fuse and put it back. fuse #37. and it didnt show any light or anything on the radio. there is no display what so ever. I even exchanged that 20 amps fuse with another fuse and still no sign of life in the radio. Yes the radio worked before 2 years ago. I will see if I can find instructions on removing the radio and maybe the fuse at the back is bad. appreciate your help guys. #5 · Jun 5, 2014 My radio fuse blew up after I changed the battery this spring.
