Event details

Self-assembly is the spontaneous organisation of molecules into stable, well-defined and highly ordered structures. Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) have therefore a wide range of applications, stretching from corrosion prevention to formation of nano-wires and bio-nano-technology. SAMs can be patterned by soft lithograpy. Finally, I will present an application of SAMs to study the enzymea ctivity at a solid surface.
