The XT FC-M8000-3 Crankset by Shimano - Rider tuned and ready for any terrain

The Shimano XT FC-M8000-3 crankset with its 22-30-40 tooth gradation offers a wide range for versatile use in all-mountain and cross-country riding. It is one of three crank options in the XT 11-speed shifting system, which is designed to offer the right set-up for every type of rider and terrain according to the " Rider Tuned" principle. The FC-M8000-3 aluminium crank impresses with powerful and precise shifting as well as robustness and low weight. It is optimally tuned for drive efficiency and smooth pedalling rhythm (Dyna-Sys11 technology). The Hollowtech II design with fixed 24 mm axle, which has been tried and tested for many years, also ensures stability.

Technology:

Dyna-Sys11 Dyna-Sys11 is the name of the 11-speed shifting system for MTBs from Shimano. The focus lies on maintaining the pedalling rhythm both on flat ground and on uphill segments. The gear ratios are selected so that you make efficient progress in the most frequently used gear range and do not have to shift gears as much (" Rhythm Step" ). Hollowtech II Shimano Hollowtech II is a crank bottom bracket system designed to achieve an ideal ratio of stiffness, weight and rotational efficiency. It is based on an integration of the bottom bracket and the right crank arm and works with a 24 mm axle or bearing diameter, which has proven to be optimal in terms of stability. In many cases, the bearing cups are on the outside so that the load is better distributed. High-quality precision seals ensure a long service life.

Stabil, verwindungssteif, entspricht meinen Erwartungen. Dreifach vorne ist zwar nicht mehr "in", aber 3x11 hat einfach mehr Bandbreite als 1x12-fach. Damit bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ein Stern Abzug: Neues Lochbild, 3d geformtes Kettenblatt damit die dünne Kette nicht zwischen die Blätter rutscht, das bedeutet aber, dass es genau 1 Auswahlmöglichkeit gibt bei Ersatzblatt - das sehr teure Alu Originalblatt - und keine Alternativen bei Zahnzahl und Material. Ich hoffe daß die zwei großen Blätter noch ein paar Jahre verfügbar sind...
