#1 · Apr 27, 2010 Ok, so i have bled this clutch foreverrrrrrrrrrr! Still sucking air from somewhere... it seems to me like the only place it would come in is from the plastic nipple on the top, or maybe not. I have no idea, but i dont have money to waste on a new one if thats not the issue. Started out that the car would not shift into gear at high rpm's, next it couldnt go into gear at all very well. now it wont go in gear at all. the only other thing that is in the equation is the nasty blue braided line that goes from the brake master, to the clutch master. Someone throw me some insight, so i can actually drive my corrado for once! Probably best to go ahead and do both - if you're gonna be in there and can afford it. My symptoms actually included the clutch pedal sucking down to the floor - I mean, it would literally move from under your foot and suck straight down to the floor. For awhile I was driving it with a piece of cord tied to the clutch so I could pull the pedal back up Image - while waiting for parts to arrive. #6 · Apr 30, 2010 Re: Signs/Symptoms of bad clutch master cylinder. need opinions (twoody)

Image Amazing what happens when the daily kicks the bucket. 285,000 miles out of a 2001 Ford Focus ain't bad though http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif #8 · May 2, 2010 Re: Signs/Symptoms of bad clutch master cylinder. need opinions (twoody) Sorry to be the one to tell you this but unless one has been replaced they both should be done. Usually when one goes the other is right behind it. If you can't spare the loot, look for known working used ones until you can find the $ for brandy new ones. #9 · May 2, 2010 this is quite common when bleeding rados. Overfill the MC with fluid, the weight of it will help push the air 'down' & out. try it before you do anything else. #10 · May 2, 2010 Re: Signs/Symptoms of bad clutch master cylinder. need opinions (ImagePerformance) i wonder about that ragged blue braided hose that is between them. that thing is horrible lookin #11 · May 2, 2010 Re: Signs/Symptoms of bad clutch master cylinder. need opinions (ImagePerformance) Having similar problems this past week. Temporary relief was just bleeding the slave cylinder. Yesterday - finally had enough time to do a full bleed at each caliper and the slave cylinder and it seems to have cured the problem. Pumped 96 oz. of fluid thru the system. Make sure to start at the rear right, then rear left, front right, then front left when bleeding the brake calipers. I did the slave cylinder last. I highly recommend getting a brake bleeder tool from the local autoparts store. My local HarborFrieght carries one that's on sale for $25. Makes it whole lot easier than pumping pedals!
