Battle of the supercars had match up with a modded Ford Gt500 at a supposedly 600hp and a technocraft Lamborghini Gallardo at 520hp. The GT recorded 8.3 seconds and the Lambo recorded 11.2. As a side bar the Lambo's engine blew up on the 1 mile run and was spewing oil and anti-freeze. Still, the Z06 is an incredible performance value, demonstrated in every measurable way over and over. I love it.. I hate winter though.. Remember it blew up later in the one mile run so it was probably performing like a pig in the previous runs. He is/was a member on here when he had his Z06. That time has never been duplicated by anyone else. Stock Z06 times are closer to 8.5 secs. You would be amazed at how many people try to say the Z06 is just as fast as a ZR1. Dont get me wrong I have had 6 C6 Z06s as daily drivers since late 2005 including one H/C car. I love the feeling of the NA 427 throttle response. But after a couple track rentals with the Z06's and ZR1's the differences really stand out.
