WatchMedic After a few meca quartz chronos i finally decided to get an automatic. I picked up this Tissot used at a good price. I know its not a valjoux 7750, but the ETA C01.211 movement gets pretty decent reviews. Maybe not so bad for an entry level automatic chrono. Not a huge fan of butterfly clasps, but the 22mm bracelet is non tapered with pretty thick links and feels very substantial. My only issue with the bracelet is that it used cheap cotter pins instead of screw links. The 43mm case size feels pretty big but it's only 48mm lug to lug so it's not bad on my 6.75 inch wrists. The only lume is on the hands, but it's not a diver so i guess that's kinda standard. The white dial with silver accents makes visibility just a tad difficult at a quick glance but it's not terrible. Screw down crown gives it 100m water resistance. Overall im pleased with it. Not a bad choice for my first Tissot. I mean the dial is amazing with it’s look, set-up, and color. Then the case is beautiful, as is the bracelet honestly, and the movement is the icing on the cake ! A giant congrats 2 U !!! #3 · Jan 30, 2020 Tissot Nice watch, Tissot does not get the props they deserve. #4 · Jan 30, 2020 quick update and initial thoughts on how the watch works. I initially thought it was a screw in crown, but it is not. it is 100m water resistant though. my biggest issue thus far is the crown action. setting the time is slow. it takes a few crown rotations to turn the hour over. the crown is small and not very grippy...its way too smooth. im also having a very difficult time moving over more than 1-2 days at a time before the crown slips back in and i have to pull it out to first position again. this doesn't seem to happen when im setting the time. the crown being small and smooth is just how the watch is made, but im not sure if the crown being difficult to keep in first position for the quickset date function is something i should have looked at or not. other than the date being an absolute PITA to set, i like the overall look and feel of this watch. #5 · Jan 30, 2020 Congrats on an elegant, handsome chrono! I considered a couple Tissot's when I was deciding on my Bday chrono present to myself. One of my all time favorite watches is my Tissot PRS516 Powermatic; love the build quality and attention to design details. Wear in good health! #6 · Jan 31, 2020 Cool I have the same watch but in gold on a brown leather strap with a gold dual deployant clasp, I wear as a dress watch. #7 · Jan 31, 2020
