  Just wrapped up an exciting trip to Thailand with my colleagues James Murphy, Vivian Wong, and Yingli L. where we had the opportunity to visit around 20 sites across key areas, including the CBD, Samut Prakan, Chonburi, and Rayong. 🚗 Despite a packed schedule, we were fortunate to squeeze in two site tours, and I’d like to extend a special thank you to those who hosted us: 1) EEC Global Cloud's DC1, hosted by Kriengsak Charoonsrisawat and Jintai. The first phase launched last year and has the potential to scale up to 5.3MW. 2) True IDC’s East Bangna campus, hosted by Waraporn Nintiem, Susana, Kritthee, Pichai, and Aekkachai. With two buildings already operational, progress on the expansion is looking promising, with three new buildings set to go live early 2025. And here’s a key detail—majority of the 20MW capacity is already pre-committed, highlighting the strong demand for the facility. The campus has made some impressive strides, attracting a range of cloud service providers and AI clients, securing its place within Thailand's data centre ecosystem. The facility’s infrastructure speaks for itself, with two 24kV substations already in place and a third in the works. True IDC also takes its sustainability efforts seriously, backing up its commitment to carbon neutrality with approximately 1 MW of solar power. The Bangkok market is buzzing with activity, with new project announcements, land acquisitions, and increasing interest on the demand side, all setting the stage for exciting developments ahead.
