Shadow S Had a puncture last week and since then the orange tyre pressure monitor light has remained on. Is this normal or do I have to have it reset by a stealer? Thanks Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Jun 1, 2008 You MK IV or V? On the MKV there's a button next to the gear stick, press and hold that and the light will go off. Don't know if it's the same for MKIVs HTH #3 · Jun 2, 2008 I don't think the MKIV's have this function. At least mine doesn't. #4 · Jun 5, 2008 Cheers mate, it has worked a treat. It is a MKV and the button was exactly where you said it would be. #5 · Jun 6, 2008 I think I read in the handbook you're supposed to do that everytime you inflate or change the tyres, something about resetting the sensors. #6 · Jun 6, 2008 You need to check that the tyre pressures are correct before you press the button. Otherwise, you may have reset the default value to an incorrect tyre pressure, and get no warning that it's wrong. I realise you've already pressed the button, so check all tyre pressures are correct, then press it again. #7 · Jul 16, 2008 Hi, I have recently had a punchure and after fixing it and inflating all the tyres to 34psi I pushed the reset button on the console in front of the gear stick but the light did not go out. Any ideas or thoughts please ? #8 · Jul 16, 2008 You need to hold it own until it bleeps, resets and goes out. #9 · Jul 17, 2008 Thanks Jaysr32, I had tried that already with no luck but after searching this site I found that you have to turn the ignition on, but not start the car, and then hold the button down...............hence light out and problem saved. thanks Insert Quotes Post Reply
