IraHayes I'm looking at an inexpensive set of Mercedes rims with 215/55/16s on them...I have a 1987 w124. Will they fit? Here's a pic. #1 · May 1, 2016 I'm looking at an inexpensive set of Mercedes rims with 215/55/16s on them...I have a 1987 w124. Will they fit? Here's a pic.

Would the part # from the wheel work and do you have a list or something? #5 · May 1, 2016 (Edited) Part number + search/Google would work. Chart/List: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/information/fitting_chart/mercedes-benz 0 Reply #4 · May 1, 2016 If you look at the obverse side, you will see something similar to 7J x 15 ET 42. This is a 15 inch rim with 7 inch width, and an offset of 42. #6 · May 1, 2016 OK, so I am going by to just try one on and see if it fits...Can I try just one front and see if it fits or do I have to try a back too? #7 · May 1, 2016 If the front fits, so will the back. But why don't you just post the info I requested? #8 · May 1, 2016 ^Exactly. Just because a wheel physically fits doesn't mean it is a good fit. The wheel might make contact with suspension components during full travel/compression and/or rub the chassis/fender. ET offset is the most important criteria, besides bolt pattern, for wheel fitment. #9 · May 1, 2016 (Edited) Based on the pic, those wheels look like they came off a W210 E class (the successor to the W124) If so, those wheels are most likely 16 X 7.5 ET 41, but posting the MB p/n# and/or rim size info found on the inside of each wheel would be the best way. #10 · May 1, 2016 please make sure you have the correct bolts on the rear wheels, too long and you will damage your brakes. #11 · May 1, 2016 (Edited) You people are too dense for your own good. Image Image Image #12 · May 1, 2016 Seeing as I'm going through this same issue, I have noticed there are similar looking wheels on other model lines that won't fit. For instance, I was eyeing a set of 16" S500 wheels. In addition to the offset, there are 2 different lug sizes (12 and 14mm I believe). So there are a couple variables. #13 · May 1, 2016 Is it just me? Those 210 wheels just doesn't look right on a 124. #14 · May 1, 2016 It's not just you. 1 Reply #15 · May 1, 2016 lug lengths have to match the WHEELS. lug diameters have to match the car AND wheels.
