Physical Wellness

Princeton University is committed to providing faculty, staff, and their families with personalized and confidential resources, at no cost, to minimize health costs and maximize health and wellness. The resources range from online tools to make better healthcare decisions to on-site personal health coaches.

2nd.MD

2nd.MD is a free, confidential service that provides expert medical opinion services for individuals facing a healthcare concern. 2nd.MD experts are comprised of board-certified doctors who are recognized leaders in their fields. Receiving an expert second opinion and support can help provide confidence in one’s diagnosis and treatment plan.

Health Advocate helps faculty and staff and their family members, including parents and in-laws, navigate the often complex healthcare system.

Learn More MSK Direct

MSK Direct, through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, provides direct access to a team of professionals who specialize in cancer care to guide eligible faculty and staff through the process of diagnosis and treatment and oversee one’s care experience every step of the way.

Professional health coaches provide confidential personalized assistance to help individuals reach their personal health goals. Coaches are available to meet on campus or by phone. They are employees of TrestleTree, an accredited health transformation organization.

Doctors In Your Office provide free and convenient on-campus physicals for staff at the Employee Wellness Center.

Learn More Hinge Health

Hinge Health is a virtual physical therapy and exercise program designed to address chronic back, knee, hip, neck, or shoulder pain. This program is available at no cost to you and your dependents, aged 18 or older, who are enrolled in a Princeton medical plan.

Decision Support

Princeton University is committed to providing a range of resources to assist and support our faculty and staff with their personal and family needs. Tools offered vary from financial planning to benefit plan elections.

In addition to the below resources, the University also offers Alex, an online decision support tool, designed to help individuals select medical benefits for themselves and their families. After responding to a few key questions, Alex will use the answers to provide a personalized health cost prediction and ranking for each health plan based on the individual’s unique health risks and preferences. Personal information obtained by Alex is anonymous and is not stored or shared.
